Day 1 – Recognize the Cycle
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Reflection: Life moves fast, doesn’t it? Sometimes we say yes to everything because it’s all “good stuff”—family, ministry, things we love. But too much, even good things, can tip our cup and leave us drained.
Take a breath.
Recognize the cycle: Busy → Burnout → Balance.
Action: Today, jot down 3 “good things” you can pause or delegate. Give yourself permission to breathe.
Day 2 – Jesus First, Always
Scripture: Matthew 6:33
Reflection: Here’s the truth: when Jesus is first, everything else falls into place. Not in a rush, not just checking a box, but true intimacy with Him. That’s where life, peace, and joy start flowing.
Action: Carve out 10–15 minutes today to really sit with Jesus. Read, pray, or just listen. Let Him speak to your heart.
Day 3 – Love Your Spouse Boldly
Scripture: Ephesians 5:25-28
Reflection: Your marriage deserves margin too! Life is busy, but it can’t crowd out connection with the person God placed right next to you. Intentional time together fuels intimacy, laughter, and partnership.
Action: Plan a “mini-reset” with your spouse this week. Maybe a coffee date, a walk, or just a quiet moment together. Focus on each other, no distractions.
Day 4 – Margin is Freedom
Scripture: Exodus 20:8-10
Reflection: Margin isn’t a luxury; it’s life-giving space. It’s a gift to breathe, recharge, and show up fully, for God, your marriage, and your family.
Action: Schedule 30–60 minutes this week to do nothing “productive.” Walk, pray, rest, or just be present with your loved ones.
Day 5 – Care for Your Temple
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Reflection: You can’t pour from an empty cup. Sleep, eat well, and move your body. This isn’t selfish, but essential. When you care for yourself, you can show up fully for others.
Action: Pick one self-care habit to commit to this week. Sleep earlier, hydrate, take a walk, whatever refreshes your body and soul.
Day 6 – Choose What Really Matters
Scripture: Luke 10:38-42
Reflection: Busyness can distract us from the main thing—Jesus. Like Mary, we are called to sit, listen, and receive. Don’t just do, slow down and be.
Action: Look at your schedule and choose one area where you can pause, refocus, and give Jesus your undivided attention.
Day 7 – Consistency is Kingdom Work
Scripture: Galatians 6:9
Reflection: Balance isn’t a one-day fix. Small, consistent choices—spending time with Jesus, your spouse, and caring for yourself. Build the life, marriage, and ministry God designed for you. Keep going, you’re making Kingdom impact!
Action: Build a simple daily rhythm for the week:
- Time with Jesus
- Time with your spouse
- Time for self-care
Stick to it. Watch how life begins to flow.
